Full Bio
Troy serves as President & CEO of The Hanover Theatre, a 2,300-seat performing arts center in downtown Worcester, MA. The theatre opened in 2008 following a $32 million dollar historic restoration, and presents more than 150 performances to more than 180,000 audiences members each year. A key catalyst to the revitalization of downtown Worcester, the Hanover opened its Conservatory for the Performing Arts in January 2017, and now offers year-round classes in acting, musical theatre, and theatre technology for all ages. Troy has been at the helm since 2004, after serving as Producing Director at Stoneham Theatre (now Greater Boston Stage); at American Stage Festival in Milford and Nashua, New Hampshire; and in New York as General Manager of Focus Lighting, a leading architectural design firm with high-profile projects in most major cities in the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Troy serves as Chair of Discover Central Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Performing Arts Coalition, on the Boards of Directors of the Worcester Cultural Coalition and MassCreative, as a member of Worcester’s Economic Development Coordinating Council, and has been appointed to the Massachusetts Cultural Council by Governors Patrick and Baker. Troy’s directing credits include Artist Descending a Staircase, The Mystery of Irma Vep, and his own critically-acclaimed adaptation of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Troy holds a B.F.A. in design and production from the N.C. School of the Arts. JMAC Staff

Livy is a playmaker: a versatile theatre professional working as a producer, director, actor, and teaching artist. She has served in these capacities with organizations including The Hanover Theatre Rep, Nora Theatre Co, New Rep, Commonwealth Shakespeare Co, Playhouse Creatures NYC, Trinity Rep, Asolo Rep, Hartford Stage, and Bridge Rep, which she founded and helmed for five years, and where she received a 2019 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Director and a 2018 IRNE Award for Best Actress. Livy has been featured in the Boston Globe and on WGBH, had a short essay published on the HowlRound Theatre Commons, and was named a Woman to Watch in 2022 by Worcester Magazine. On the teaching front, Livy has found a niche for herself as a STEAM educator, serving as a Lecturer in Acting at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where students and faculty selected her for a 2018 Levitan Teaching Award. A transplant from Cambridge, Livy was appointed to that city's Mayor's Arts Task Force, and is a proud Board member emeritus of the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund and StageSource. After earning her BA from Amherst College (summa cum laude) Livy went on to earn her MFA from Brown University / Trinity Rep. She is a card-carrying member of Actors' Equity Association. Livy and her wife live in Worcester's Canal District, where they own Canal District Wines and enjoy walking their rescue pup, Rusty. MORE RESOURCES
